Will we get any major scalps in the FA Cup 4th round?

Will there be any major FA Cup scalps this weekend? Or are we in for a Premier League clean-sweep? It’s the Spread Bets of the Weekend!

1. Shrewsbury v Liverpool – Shrewsbury to win match, 11.7-16.7
Look, Shrewsbury aren’t going to beat Liverpool. The Reds even fielded their kids in the 3rd round and still beat Everton.

BUT, what if they do? Though pretty lifeless in League One, the Shrews have shown plenty of heart in the FA Cup, fighting through replays in the 1st and 3rd rounds.

Winning against this Liverpool side is a near impossible task for the Premier League’s best, let alone a side from the bottom half of the 3rd division. Yet the Cup is designed for exactly these kinds of moments. Spreadex are offering a Shrewsbury to win match binary spread of 11.7-16.7.

2. Man City v Fulham – Total Goals, 4-4.3
City are going to have to look outside the Premier League to pick up silverware this season. That means the defending champions might approach the FA Cup with renewed aggression when they host Fulham on Sunday.

Though Pep Guardiola’s side do have the capacity to switch off, against weaker sides they can be monstrous, putting 6 past Aston Villa and 4 past Port Vale. 3. Northampton v Derby – Wayne Rooney SMM, 27-32
Wayne Rooney is yet to score for Derby. That could well change this evening, when the Rams travel to Northampton for their 4th round fixture.

Cobblers’ manager Keith Curle has already expressed his hopes that England’s all-time leading goalscorers won’t feature on Friday night, and probably for good reason. Rooney heads to the Sixfields Stadium at a SMM spread of 27-32.

4. QPR v Sheffield Wednesday – QPR/Sheffield Wednesday Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1
Sheffield Wednesday were pushing for a play-off spot before an end of 2019/start of 2020 slowdown. QPR, meanwhile, have seen a New Year uptick at home, beating Cardiff 6-1, Leeds 1-0 and, in the Cup, Swansea 5-1.

5. Hull v Chelsea – 1st Chelsea Goal, 38-41
They haven’t been getting the best results, but nevertheless, in 4 of the 5 games they’ve played in 2020, Chelsea have scored before the half an hour mark.
