Czechia made a promising start against South Korea by taking the lead, but two second-half goals saw them fall to a 2-1 defeat.
With both teams still searching for their first points, this match could prove crucial in the race for qualification, with a victory likely to put the winner in a strong position to reach the knockout stages under the new tournament format.

Czechia are the favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 3/4 to get all three points on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (8/11 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with South Africa priced at 17/5 (16/5 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 11/4.
Czechia and South Africa have met just once before, with their only previous encounter ending in a 2-2 draw back in 1997. If history repeats itself and the sides share four goals again, you can back the correct score at 14/1.
Alternatively, if you’re expecting both teams to find the net without picking an exact result, Both Teams To Score is available at 20/23.
Our football spread betting prices have Czechia as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Czechia/South Africa 0.65 – 0.85. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.85 would need a Czechia win to start turning a profit (e.g. one goal win would win 0.15x your stake, two goal win would win 1.15x your stake etc.).
A 0.65 'sell' bet would need a draw or South Africa win to turn a profit (e.g. draw would win 0.65x your stake, one goal South Africa win would win 1.65x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.5 – 2.7. So a 2.7 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘2.5’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.7 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.7x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.85 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, a draw would lose 0.85x your stake and a one goal South Africa win would lose 1.85x your stake etc. And in the 0.65 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.35x your stake on a one goal Czechia win, 1.35x your stake on a two goal Czechia win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
In South Africa’s opening game v Mexico their defence looked shaky early on and they conceded the opening goal in just the ninth minute. This time round the spread betting market First Match Goal has a spread 37-40. This means a ‘sell’ at 37 would win 28x your stake if there was a repeat of a ninth minute opening goal.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if the First Match Goal was scored in the 60th minute a ‘sell’ at 37 would lose 23x times your stake.
Spreadex offers a wide range of football spread betting prices on Czechia v South Africa, as well as traditional sportsbook/fixed odds prices.
