How to watch Ivory Coast v Norway
Live on BBC One.
Ivory Coast qualified for the knockout stage of a World Cup finals for the first time in the nation’s history by coming second in their group. Whilst the expanded format allows more teams to progress, Emerse Faé’s side were strong throughout the group stage, conceding only twice to group winners Germany. Now they will face a dangerous Norwegian side with a potent attack which will push Ivory Coast’s defence to its limits. Can they qualify for the Round of 16?

After qualifying for the first time this century, Norway made it to the knockout phase of this summer’s tournament with time to spare. Wins against Iraq and Senegal meant the Vikings had already guaranteed progression by the time they played France in the final round. Ståle Solbakken opted to rest his star players in that final match, meaning the likes of Erling Haaland and Martin Ødegaard should be fresh for Tuesday’s clash. How will they fare against Ivory Coast?

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Tuesday’s match, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Norway favoured by 0.4-0.6 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Norway to win to start turning a profit. A one-goal victory for Norway would win you 0.4 times your stake, a two-goal win 1.4 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Norway drew or lost, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss for Norway would cost you 1.6 times your stake, whilst a draw would cost you 0.6 times your stake.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.85-3.05. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.85 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 3.15 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
