Both Uruguay and Spain head into the final match of the group stage knowing that a win will likely secure top spot in Group H. Spain made a slow start to the tournament with a draw against Cape Verde before responding in style with a convincing 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia.
Uruguay, meanwhile, have endured an underwhelming campaign so far, drawing both of their opening matches against Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde — two fixtures they would have targeted as opportunities to strengthen their chances of progression.
Now, they face their toughest test yet against the reigning European Champions, knowing that a victory could secure their place in the knockout stages.

Spain are the favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 1/2 to get all on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (40/85 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with Uruguay priced at 6/1 (11/2 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 3/1.
The last time these two sides met was back in 2013 with Spain winning 2-1. A repeat of that scoreline this time round is priced at 15/2.
Alternatively, if you’re expecting Spain to win and Uruguay to get on the scoresheet without picking an exact result, Spain To Win + BTTS is available at 23/10.
Our football spread betting prices have Spain as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Spain/Uruguay 1.1 – 1.3. This means a 'buy' bet at 1.3 would need a Spain two goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. two goal win would win 0.7x your stake, three goal win would win 1.7x your stake etc.).
A 1.1 'sell' bet would need a one goal Spain win, draw or Uruguay win to turn a profit (e.g. one goal Spain win would win 0.1x your stake, draw would win 1.1x your stake and a one goal Uruguay win would win 2.1x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.75 – 2.95. So a 2.95 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘2.75’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.95 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.95x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 1.3 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, a one goal Spain win would lose 0.3x your stake, a draw would lose 1.3x your stake and a one goal Uruguay win would lose 2.3x your stake etc. And in the 1.1 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.9x your stake on a two goal Spain win, 1.9x your stake on a three goal Spain win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
In the last World Cup meeting between the two sides the game ended 0-0. This meant the spread betting market Total Goal Minutes made up at 0. This time round the spread is 140-150, meaning a ‘sell’ at 140 would win 140x your stake if there were a goalless affair.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if Total Goal Minutes made up at 250, a ‘sell’ at 140 would lose 110x times your stake.
Spreadex offers a wide range of football spread betting prices on Uruguay v Spain, as well as traditional sportsbook/fixed odds prices.
