Leicester in the EFL Cup, PSG in the Coupe de la Ligue

Now they’re chasing their 1st League Cup final since they won it back in 1999/2000, coming up against a struggling Aston Villa in the semis. Not to be rude to Dean Smith’s side, but if scheduling conflicts hadn’t caused Liverpool to focus on the FIFA World Club Cup the Foxes would likely be facing the Reds instead.

Absent from the last 3 fixtures due to a minor calf injury, Jamie Vardy should be available for the 1st leg – worrying for Villa given he has 17 goals in 21 appearances. 2. PSG v St Etienne – Total Goal Minutes, 200-215
In their last game, PSG put 6 past ESA Linas-Montlhery – and that was without either Kylian Mbappe, who has 18 goals in all competitions, or Neymar, who’s on 9.

St Etienne, then, have every reason to be scared ahead of Wednesday night’s Coupe de la Ligue quarter-final. When they last met, on December 15th, PSG won 4-0, with a brace for Mbappe and an opener for Neymar after just 9 minutes.
