Our football spread betting prices have the Supremacy as Argentina / Austria at 1.15–1.35. This means a ‘buy’ bet at 1.35 would need Argentina to win by two goals to start turning a profit (e.g. a two-goal win would win 0.65× your stake, a three-goal win 1.65× your stake, a four-goal win 2.65× your stake, etc.).
A 1.15 ‘sell’ bet would need either an Argentina win by one goal, a draw, or Austria to win to turn a profit (e.g. an Argentina win by one goal would win 0.15× your stake, a draw would win 1.15× your stake, and an Austria win by one goal would win 2.15× your stake, etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.65–2.85. This means a 2.85 ‘buy’ bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit (three goals would return a profit of 0.15× your stake). Conversely, a 2.65 ‘sell’ bet would need two goals or fewer to be scored in the match to turn a profit (three goals would result in a loss of 0.35× your stake).
Remember that with spread betting, if you get the bet wrong, losses can exceed your stake/deposit. For example, a 2.85 ‘buy’ Total Goals bet would lose 2.85× your stake if the match ended 0–0. In the 1.35 ‘buy’ Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended in a draw, the bet would lose 1.35× your stake. If Austria won by one goal, then it would lose 2.35× your stake, etc. And in the 1.15 ‘sell’ Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.85× your stake on a 2–0 Argentina win, 1.85× your stake on a 3–0 Argentina win, etc.
