Arsenal found a much-needed spark at the weekend to beat Fulham 3-0 and get their race for the Premier League back on track. Manchester City dropping points sees the Gunners back in the driver’s seat in the league, but they will now need to turn their attention to Europe, with Atlético Madrid coming to town. Arsenal were arguably fortunate to come away with a draw in the first leg, but fans will be confident of a win at home. Can they keep dreams of a trophy-double alive?

Atlético Madrid will be ruing some squandered chances in the first leg as they now face the daunting task of beating Arsenal at the Emirates. Atlético saw off Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham with relative ease earlier in the year, but they face a much tougher task tonight, needing to beat a side which hasn’t lost in the Champions League this season. Can they go through to the Champions League final for the first time since 2016?

Arsenal beat Atlético during the league phase of the Champions League and are understandably favourites heading into this one. You can back them to win the match at 4/7, or at 6/11 in our 2 Up market which pays out if your team goes up by two goals during the match. Atlético are the underdogs, at 24/5 to win, or 17/4 in our 2 Up market.
If you’re expecting the sides to be level after 90 minutes, you can back the draw at 3/1. Alternatively, you can back Arsenal to qualify for the final at 2/7 or Atlético to qualify at 5/2.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for tonight’s clash, including our “Goal Supremacy” market. This market currently has Arsenal favoured by 0.95-1.15 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Arsenal to win by at least two goals to start turning a profit, and if you sold, you would need Atlético to win, draw, or lose by one. If you bought, a two-goal victory for Arsenal would win you 0.85 times your stake, a three-goal victory 1.85 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Arsenal lost, drew, or won by only one, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 2.15 times your stake, a two-goal loss 3.15 times your stake, etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.65-2.85. If you’re expecting plenty of goalmouth action, you would “buy” and would need at least three total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.65 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 3.35 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
