Aston Villa v Tottenham betting form

Aston Villa have put together another impressive campaign under Unai Emery, currently sitting fifth in the Premier League and on the verge of securing a Champions League place for next season. They’ve also reached the Europa League semi-finals, where they face Nottingham Forest, giving them a real opportunity to claim their first piece of silverware since the 1996 League Cup.

The key question now is whether Villa can overcome Spurs this Sunday while potentially having one eye on the second leg of their semi-final clash with Forest.

ASTON VILLA RECENT FORM

LOSS: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Aston Villa. Thursday 30th April 2026.
LOSS: Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa. Saturday 25th April 2026.
WIN: Aston Villa 4-3 Sunderland. Sunday 19th April 2026.
WIN: Aston Villa 4-0 Bologna. Thursday 16th April 2026.

Tottenham have endured a miserable campaign and are battling to stay in the Premier League. Despite sitting in the relegation zone, they did manage to secure their first win of 2026 last time out with a victory away at Wolves. However, that result came at a price, with key players Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke picking up injuries that are likely to rule them out for the rest of the season.

Spurs will be aiming to build on that result and make it back-to-back wins when they travel to Villa Park on Sunday, hoping Aston Villa are still feeling the effects of their European clash earlier in the week.

TOTTENHAM RECENT FORM

WIN: Wolves 0-1 Tottenham. Saturday 25th April 2026.
DRAW: Tottenham 2-2 Brighton. Saturday 18th April 2026.
LOSS: Sunderland 1-0 Tottenham. Sunday 12th April 2026.
LOSS: Tottenham 0-3 Nottingham Forest. Sunday 22nd March 2026.

What are the best odds on Aston Villa v Tottenham?

Aston Villa are the favourites heading into this game and are priced at 21/20 to get the victory on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (Evens on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) whilst visitors Tottenham are priced at 23/10 to get the win (2/1 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) and the draw priced at 27/10.

Villa have already beaten Spurs twice this season, once in the league and once in the FA Cup. On both of those occasions Villa won the game 2-1. You can get a repeat of that scoreline priced at 8/1 for Sunday’s game.

Aston Villa v Tottenham football spread betting prices.

Our football spread betting prices have Aston Villa favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Aston Villa/Tottenham 0.3 – 0.5. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.5 would need an Aston Villa one goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. one goal win would win 0.5x your stake, two goal win would win 1.5x your stake etc.).

A 0.3 'sell' bet would need a draw or Tottenham win to turn a profit (e.g. a draw would win 0.3x your stake and a Tottenham one goal win would win 1.3x your stake etc.).

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.9 – 3.1. So a 3.1 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.9 ‘sell’ bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.1 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.1x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.5 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended in a draw you would lose 0.5x your stake, and a Tottenham one goal win would lose 1.5x your stake etc. And in the 0.3 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.7x your stake on a one goal Aston Villa win and 1.7x your stake on a two goal Aston Villa win etc.

Aston Villa v Tottenham betting specials and price boosts

Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.

The last home Premier League game that Aston Villa played at Villa Park ended in a 4-3 victory with Tammy Abraham scoring a 90th minute winner. This time round the spread betting market Last Match Goal has a spread of 66-69. This means a ‘buy’ at 69 would win 21x your stake if there was a repeat of late drama on Sunday.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if the Last Match Goal was scored in the 50th minute, a ‘buy’ at 69 would lose 19x times your stake.
