How to watch Iraq v NorwayLive on BBC One.
Group I action takes places here as Iraq and Norway face off in a clash that may prove crucial to both sides' hopes of progressing from the group stage.
Iraq have qualified for this competition for the first time since 1986 (where they exited in the group stage with zero points), and had to play 21 qualifying matches (more than any other side). They will look to bounce back from a poor defeat to Venezuela in their final warm-up match.
Norway return to the World Cup for the first time since 1998 and the current generation may well fancy at least matching the exploits of that 1998 side, which exited in the Round of 16. Spearheaded by elite striker Erling Haaland and with a support cast including recent Premier League champion Martin Odegaard, the Norwegians will look to extend their good form of just one defeat in their last 16 matches.

Norway come into the match as overwhelming favourites for their first group game, currently priced at 2/11 to win. You can also back them at the same price in our 2-Up Early Payout market which pays out if your team goes up by two goals during the game.
Iraq are the underdogs, and you can back them at 14/1 to win an upset, or at 12/1 in our 2-Up market.
These two sides are meeting for the first time, and with nerves sure to be running high at the World Cup, we may see a somewhat cagey affair. If you expect a stalemate in this one, you can back the draw at 13/2.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for this clash, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Norway favoured by 2 - 2.2 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Norway to win by three goals to start turning a profit. A four-goal victory for Norway would win you 1.8x your stake, a five-goal win 2.8x your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Norway drew or lost, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 3.2x your stake, a two-goal loss 4.2x your stake, etc. A draw would lose you 2.2 times your stake on buy bets.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 3.15 - 3.25. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need three goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 2.15x your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 2.75x your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
