Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League fixture between Nottingham Forest and Newcastle. The hosts have found a strong league form of late in their fight for survival, but will need to quickly bounce back from the disappointment of a 4-0 midweek drubbing which saw them exit the Europa League at the semi-final stage.
Newcastle, meanwhile, had seen a torrid run of form but arrested that decline last time out with a win over Brighton and will look to end their season on a high note in their remaining fixtures, with a top half finish still a realistic goal for Eddie Howe's Magpies.
Who will claim the points here?

What time is kick-off for Nottingham Forest v Newcastle?2pm, UK time.
Where is Nottingham Forest v Newcastle being played? City Ground, Nottingham.

In terms of league form, Forest have been on an excellent run of late which has pushed them up the table and nearing guaranteed safety, with the home side now six points above the relegation zone and with far superior goal difference to Spurs and West Ham below them. As such, a home victory here will essentially secure their Premier League status.
Newcastle sit only three points above Forest after a hugely disappointing league campaign this season, and the Magpies snapped a four-match losing streak last time out with an impressive win over Brighton at St James' Park. Eddie Howe's side are 18 points worse off this season at this point than the same time last season, so the remaining matches will act as damage limitation rather than fulfilling any ambitions.

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Newcastle as the slight 6/4 favourites to secure an away victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the away side at 11/8.
Forest meanwhile are available at 13/8 for the home victory (29/20 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 5/2.
Forest have never beaten Newcastle at home in the Premier League. In the last five H2H meetings, the Magpies have been utterly dominant, winning all five (one of these was a Cup draw in 90 minutes, with Newcastle winning on penalties).
Eight of the last ten meetings saw Both Teams Scoring, and you can back Both to Score - Yes at 4/7 here.
Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Newcastle/Nottingham Forest 0 - 0.2. This means if Newcastle won 3-1 (or by any other three goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.2 would mean a return of 2.8x your initial stake.
However, if you bought at 0.2 in Newcastle's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.2x your stake. Or, if Forest were to grab a 1-0 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.2 would result in a loss of 1.2x your opening stake.
You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.9 - 3.1. So a 3.1 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.9 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.1 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.1x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
We have several pre-built Popular Bet-Builders, including Igor Jesus 2+ shots on target & William Osula 2+ shots on target - 8/1, BTTS no, Under 2.5 goals & Under 10.5 corners - 17/4, Sandro Tonali to be carded, Dan Burn to be carded & Malick Thiaw to be carded - 40/1 and much more!
In terms of Price Boosts, #NameIt - Player Markets - Nottingham Forest To Win 3-0, Igor Jesus & Morgan Gibbs-White Both To Score - NOW 33/1, Jacob Murphy 1+ Assist - NOW 9/2 and Bruno Guimaraes to Score Anytime - NOW 7/2!
