Scotland v Morocco Betting Form

The Tartan Army have taken over Boston over the last few days and with more fans flying out for Friday’s clash with Morocco, Steve Clarke’s will have plenty of backing from the bleachers as our American cousins insist on calling them.

A 1-0 win over Haiti was nervy at times and you would expect that the Scots would have to be better against Morocco if they are to get a result which would surely put them through to the knockout round.

Morocco, surprise packages at the 2022 World Cup and disputed AFCON winners, have become more attacking in recent years and they have plenty of threats. Ismael Saibiri looks set to join Bayern Munich after impressing for PSV this season, whilst Madrid forward Brahim Diaz is the fulcrum of the Moroccan attack. PSG full back Achraf Hakimi needs no introduction and Lille’s teen sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi has been strongly linked with both Liverpool and Arsenal.

To counter the threats, Clarke is likely to switch to his favoured 4-5-1 formation after deploying a 4-4-2 against the Haitians. That switch may well see Rangers man Lawrence Shankland drop out as Scotland look to keep it tight. Three points might be enough to see them through to the last-32, but big defeats against Morocco and Brazil would be terminal for their hopes.

What Are The Best Odds On Scotland v Morocco?

As you would expect given their respective recent international pedigrees, Scotland are the outsiders for this one. Beaten by African opposition back in March when Ivory Coast beat them 1-0 in Liverpool, the Scots are 15/4 to win on the 1X2 market whilst you can back them at 18/5 on our 2Up market. Morocco, impressive in their 1-1 draw with Brazil, are odds on at to win at 8/11, whilst a valuable draw for Scotland has been chalked up at 13/5.

Goals could be at a premium and it is little surprise to under 2.5 goals available to back at 4/6, with a Morocco win to nil priced up at 8/5. Ayoub El Kaabi was the top scorer in the Greek Super League with 18 goals in 26 appearances and the Olympiacos man is 29/20 to score anytime on Friday night.

Scotland v Morocco Spread Betting Prices
